Hi All,

I am installing a software (Siemens PCS7) with windows 2003 server.
in the software installation manual mentions:

4. Select the "Message Queuing" line (do not check the box) and click the
"Details" button.
The "Message Queuing" dialog box opens.
5. Check the "Shared Components" box. Uncheck all other boxes and click "OK".

Wath are "Shared Components",
This does not appear in the details as mentioned in the manual.

thanks.

Hi

I found a PDF of the PCS7 documentation on the Siemens website so I can see
you are referring to section 4.3.8.

Having looked at this, I would *assume* the documentation should ask you to
select "Core functionality" only.
As the name suggests, all the other options are non-core options.
The "Requirements" section in the Siemens documentation does not require
domain membership so you won't need "Active Directory Integrtation"
Also, looking at section 4.3.7 I see they use the word "General" instead of
the correct "Common" - another error.
So it looks like you should select only the minimum functionality and ensure
all other subcomponents are unselected.

Of course the only people who can cofirm this are Siemens themselves.

Cheers
