Hi, when I try to install MSMQ on member server or domain controller (W2K3)
return this error.

The ID of the MsmqServices object cannot be obtained from Active Directory.

Error Code: 0xc00e050f
Error description: The object was not found in Active Directory.

What is wrong ??

Most probably you encounter the problem described in
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/technologies/communications/msmq/wp_msmqfaq.asp ,
Q 2.10. It's relevant for Win2003, although the error code you see is
different.

Thanks, Doron

Hi Marcos,

Active Directory Sites/Services should be under Administrative Tools.
Q2.10 in the FAQ suggests that you check to see if the ojbect exists using
ADSIEdit (you'll need to install the support tools from the Win2K3 CD).
Here are the directions to recreate the object:

1.Run ADSIEdit, this is included as part of the Support Tools and ships
with the Windows 2003 CD, In Windows 2003, after the Support Tools have
been installed, go
to Start->Run, then type ADSIEdit.msc to run ADSIEdit.

2. Once in ADSIEdit, expand the the configuration container, then expand
Services.
Most likely the MsmqServices object will not be present (the regular MSMQ
object
will probably be there).

3. If the MsmqServices object is missing, right-click on services and
select "New
Object". For the object type, select mSMQEnterpriseSettings, for the
object name
use MsmqServices

4. Save the changes and close ADSIEdit, it may be a good idea to force
replication
at this point in case the client machine where MSMQ is being installed
queries a DC
other than the one where you made the modification

5. Retry the MSMQ installation, it should now succeed.
